Today I’m off to the Miami-Dade County Fair with my mother. I’m very excited! It’s only because our landlord will be coming to take us home later in the evening that we are actually going. We don’t have a car, and it’s quite a long trip by bus that we really don’t care for making twice in a day.
This’ll be the first time my mom visits a fair here in the United States. I absolutely love them, so it makes me very happy to be able to share this with her! And I can already smell all those delicious fair foods… Mmm.
It was a pretty good weekend. I watched about 17 episodes of Dinosaurs (that Disney sitcom from the 90’s) and Stardust, a movie my mom rented. Watching Dinosaurs after so many years was awesome, we both loved it. My mom didn’t like her movie as much as I did.
As I watched, I got a lot of inking done. Another page for the comic is nearly finished, and I have been working hard on a drawing that will feature all the characters together. This is to be placed in the Characters section of The Meganeean Times, since now it looks pretty unappealing with nothing but text in there. It’s a very detailed drawing so it won’t be up for a few days yet. I also inked and colored a birthday card for my mother. Her birthday is this coming Wednesday. I drew a little tiger on it.
I received Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land from a fellow PaperbackSwap member today, so I will be reviewing it sometime soon. One more book to the pile of books I’ll have to read and review.
Well, I’m off to the fair now. Watch out for an update when I get back.
