By now you must have seen my first review, for Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land. In a minute I’ll be posting my review of volume #2 of With The Light… by Keiko Tobe. These are my very first manga reviews and I enjoyed writing them. I hope you find them useful.
The Miami-Dade County Fair was great fun despite a few unimportant incidents (such as a minor traffic accident on the way back.)
Boy, did I ever eat! I went to the fair with a mind to pace myself and devour as many yummy things as possible, since the fair comes but once a year. So I ate an arepa, a chocolate soft serve, chicharrones (just a couple), fried green tomatoes and a candy apple. I also drank some really delicious lemonade, tried twice to win an ugly toy elephant at Whack-A-Mole and lost, and saw an ice-skating show. But my favorite part was when I got to pet a little baby goat. I couldn’t hold it, but I pet it as much as I liked! It only strengthened my desire to have one of my own all the more. Sigh!
Well, I have a busy weekend ahead, since not only do I want to finish another page for Meganeea and the illustration for the “Characters” section of The Meganeean Times, but I also must get something done on the book I just got signed up to work on.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the CueCat thingy I bought from the folks at LibraryThing works like charm.
It is of fun to use. There really isn’t much more to say about it so as to merit a post dedicated entirely to it. You plug it in on your USB port, go to the “Add Book” page on LibraryThing, scan an ISBN, and there it is, instantly added to your library. Nice.
